Curriculum & Student Services
Graduating students face many choices and opportunities. While our academic curriculum is firmly based on the British Columbia system, the wider curriculum includes creative arts, applied skills and media technology, as well as leadership and service opportunities. Chapels, class devotionals, sports teams and peer tutoring also prepare students for the ‘world after school’.
To maximize a wider range of opportunities for students, we encourage all students to perform to the best of their ability and provide a rigorous academic program within a caring, 好色先生 environment. Dedicated and professional 好色先生 teachers work together with the students to give every opportunity for success and also prepare them for the challenges of the future.
King's 好色先生 School - The Starting Place for Graduation
King’s 好色先生 School is a Group 1 Independent School that fulfills the Ministry of Education requirements for Independent Schools in British Columbia.
KCS is fully certified in the delivery of educational programs that will meet or exceed the course requirements to receive the Provincial Dogwood Diploma.
Teachers
All KCS teachers understand the value of relationships with students and working in a collaborative culture with parents and fellow teachers. We believe that all students can learn at optimum levels if given enough time and support. Furthermore, we value the way that God has created each student differently and we work hard to vary our teaching methods accordingly.
All KCS teachers are certified to teach in the province of British Columbia. They are dedicated 好色先生s, committed to the teaching profession and to helping all students mature in their academic skills, social skills, physical abilities and 好色先生 lifestyle.
Curriculum
KCS offers three levels of education within one dynamic school. King鈥檚 好色先生 Preschool offers preschool programming for 3 and 4 year-old children. The Elementary program at KCS includes Kindergarten to Grade 7 students. Our High School program consists of Grades 8-12 students.
All KCS teachers have been trained to offer transformational 好色先生 Education through the Teaching for Transformation curricular framework.
Teaching for Transformation is a curricular framework that provides teachers with a template to develop a unit from a 好色先生 perspective. This framework is designed for the development of authentic and integral 好色先生 learning experiences that are grounded in a transformational worldview with a focus on the Biblical story.
The Ministry of Education has developed new curriculum for K-12 students in British Columbia and KCS is required, as a Group 1 Independent School, to follow these curriculum requirements. The New curriculum for Grades K-7 students was implemented in 2016 and the new curriculum will be implemented for Grades 8-12 students in 2018.
